Brian Richards

Personal/Experience

Brian, a.k.a. "Coach B" has been a USAVolleyball Club coach since 2001 working with several age groups ranging
from U12 to U18 Boys and Girls. He is currently also the Head Coach for Holy Names Academy in Seattle, WA.
He has been there for 6 years and has 4 consecutive trips to State. Brian has been Metro coach of the year twice.
Prior to coaching at Holy Names, Brian was the Co-Head Coach at University Preparatory Academy from 2000-2004.
His teams went to State 3 times during his time coaching there.. Brian is a Director at High Velocity volleyball
club and has coached there for 6 years.

Brian played for the Western Men's Collegiate Volleyball team from 1993-1996. He was Team Captain and President
from 1995 to 1996. He continues to play around the Seattle area. Brian is IMPACT and CPR certified, as well as a
member of the Washington Officials Association.

Philosophy

"I want to develop the complete Athlete which involves the mental as well as the physical. I believe it is possible
to teach athletes to how to be competitive while being positive. Success can be obtained by focusing on execution and
process. If you want to WIN then pay attention to What's Important Now."
